Mt. Rainier Flora -- Achlys californica -- (California Vanilla-Leaf)

Achlys californica

Less common than the closely related Achlys triphylla (Vanilla-leaf) this species has wider leaves with more teeth on the central leaflet. It is found in similar habitats, although not as likely to be encountered at higher elevations.
