Mt. Rainier Flora --
Adiantum aleuticum -- (Aleutian maidenhair)
Found in wet sites, often on moist banks or near streams, at lower elevations in the Park, this is a beautiful, graceful fern with black stems. Quite unlike any other, it grows from lowland to subalpine regions.
