Amelanchier alnifolia

Seen occasionally near streams and forest edges, the flowers of this Rose Family member are bright white. There are five white petals and tiny sepals. The edible fruit is bluish-black.

The bluish, rounded leaves are toothed near the tip, and the flowers are borne in loose racemes.
