Mt. Rainier Flora -- Arabis hirsuta -- (Hairy Rockcress)

presented by Susan McDougall

Arabis hirsuta

Infrequent at the Park, and rather weedy in appearance, this perennial grows on gravelly soils, including alongside roads, and on cliffs and forest openings. The flowers are small and white; here the erect podlike fruit is close to releasing its seed.
