Boechera lyallii

A somewhat common subalpine species, found as high as 9,000 feet of elevation, this is a tufted plant with rounded basal leaves and clasping, narrow stem leaves.

Boechera lyallii

The flowers are pale purple, with four petals and four sepals. Formerly known as Arabis lyallii, this rockcress is only about eight inches tall.
