Calypso bulbosa

An early-flowering orchid of lowland forests, Calypso is locally abundant. The fragrant flowers are pinkish and mottled. Occasionally white flowers are present.

Calypso bulbosa

The single leaf is oval, and the solitary flower borne on a six-inch stem. The pink petals flare out, and the lip is mottled. It is the most "classic" of the Park's orchids.
