Cardamine pensylvanica

Most often seen in disturbed sites, such as the Longmire maintenance area, where this plant was photographed, Pennsylvania Bittercress has a few basal leaves, which soon wither, and several divided stem leaves. The flowers have short white petals.

The podlike fruits are upright and borne on spreading stalks.
