Carex aquatilis

There are two varieties of this attractive sedge. This one, variety dives, is rare at the Park; it grows in wet meadows and along lake shores and ponds.

Carex aquatilis

A low-to-middle elevation, tall sedge, of wet meadows. The female spike, shown in the photo, is bicolored. This is variety aquatilis.
