Mt. Rainier Flora -- Draba lonchocarpa -- (Spear-fruited Draba)

presented by Susan McDougall

Draba lonchocarpa

Infrequent, this is a subalpine species, often growing in harsh sites, most commonly on the east side of the Park. The leaves have star-like hairs and the plants are tufted and low. The white flowers are unique among the genus for their color.
