Equisetum arvense

Common from low to subalpine elevations and found along roads as well as in wet habitat, this is a small horsetail with 6-14 "teeth".

Equisetum arvense

This horsetail often forms large colonies. The fertile stems are not branched and the cone is brownish to white.
