Equisetum hyemale

Uncommon at the Park, this is a lowland species of wet sites. The cone is distinctive with its small pointed top.

Equisetum hyemale

The stems are stout and tall. This species is distinguished from Equisetum variegatum by the thickness of the stems and the many groves (15-50).
