Eriogonum umbellatum

The flowering stems are leafless and the inflorescence is an umbel of creamy or yellow flowers, with a whorl of rays beneath. This is variety hausknechtii.

Eriogonum umbellatum

The plants are matlike, and sometimes quite extensive. The oval leaves are small and leathery.

Eriogonum umbellatum

More commonly found in dry habitat east of the Cascades, this species crosses into the Park over the Crystal Mountain ridgeline and onto the slopes above Upper Crystal Lake.
