Mt. Rainier Flora -- Erysimum arenicola -- (Cascade Wallflower)

Erysimum arenicola

The bright yellow flowers of this relatively common wallflower are visible against the subalpine rocky slopes where it is most typically found. The four petals are spreading and the seed pods (the siliques) are twisted and up to three inches in length.
