Galium oreganum

Bedstraw is common in low to middle elevation forest understory habitats. The leaves are whorled and the stems angled. The flowers are small but quite visible in clusters.

Galium oreganum

The flowers mature to a rounded nutlet that is covered with hooked hairs.
