Juncus regelii

The small, dense heads of this rush consist of many flowers; there may be as many as three along the stem. A middle elevation species, here it grows alongside the road below Chinook Pass.

Juncus regelii

The plants are somewhat tufted with slender stems. As the photo shows, this rush grows well in wet habitat on thin soils.
