Juncus ensifolius

The leaves of this rush resemble an iris. It grows in wet habitat, including marshes and ditches from lower elevations to the subalpine.

Juncus ensifolius

The perianth segments are dark brown and the rounded heads are borne in a loose panicle. One edge of the flattened leaf faces the stem.
