Mt. Rainier Flora -- Lemna minor -- (Common Duckweed)

Lemna minor

Found in a small pond on the south side of the Park. Each plant consists of a single leaf, 1/8-inch long, and a thread-like root. The plants clone, forming mats of connected leaves.
