The flowers are borne in groups of 2-5, and the five white petals are slightly longer than the green sepals.

Minuartia rubella

Tufted and short, this sandwort grows in rocky subalpine habitats to elevations of 7,000 feet or more. The leaves are tiny and sharply pointed.
