Penstemon confertus

The flowers are creamy white to yellow in color with purple spots in the throat, and are arranged in whorls at the top of the stem.

Penstemon confertus

With a few flowering stems up to 20 inches in height poking above a matlike plant, this is an uncommon penstemon of middle to subalpine elevations--in the photo it grows on talus near the Paradise River.
