Plagiobothrys scouleri

Very rare at the Park, this is a small annual Borage Family member. It is a lowland species, seen here in a disturbed site alongside the highway.

Plagiobothrys scouleri

The flowers are borne in spikes at the ends of the branches. They have spreading petals united in a tube with hairs near the top. The leaves are narrow and found only on the stems.
