Poa paucispicula

At one time considered a subspecies of Poa leptocoma, this short grass has the distinction of being one of the highest elevation grass at the Park; plants have been noted at 11,000 feet.

Poa paucispicula

Part of the flower, the lemma is pointed and hairy below. At high elevations, the plants can be very small, sometimes only two inches tall.
