Polygonum minimum

A species of low to subalpine elevations where it grows on dry sites, this knotweed is uncommon at the Park. It is a small annual with reddish stems and oval leaves.

The tiny pinkish flowers are borne in the leaf axils and are often partially covered by the leaves.
