Mt. Rainier Flora -- Potentilla gracilis -- (Graceful Cinquefoil)

presented by Susan McDougall

Potentilla gracilis

Much less common than the subalpine Fan-leaf Cinquefoil, this is a tall plant of lower elevations. It has palmately-divided, lobed leaves with coarse teeth, and the stems bear a few flowers with notched, bright yellow petals.
