Pyrola minor

This is a rare Wintergreen that grows in lowland forest habitat, typically on mossy ground. The leaves are rounded and toothed. The stem is as much as eight inches tall and bears 5-20 white or pinkish flowers.

Pyrola minor

In this photograph, there are a few pinkish-white flowers and a dark stem. It was taken along the Silver Falls trail near Ohanapecosh Campground, where the species is most often seen.
