Mt. Rainier Flora --
Sibbaldia procumbens -- (Creeping Sibbaldia)
Growing in meadows and alongside streams, this is an infrequently seen subalpine species. A member of the Rose Family, it is a mat-forming plant with divided basal leaves. The flowers are yellow and borne in tight clusters. The photo shows the ripening seeds.
