Smelowskia ovalis

The two smelowskia species at the Park are high elevation plants; this one grows from 7,000-10,000, with individuals recorded at 11,000 feet, possiblly the highest elevation for a vascular plant at the mountain.

Smelowskia ovalis

A cushioned plant with small leaves clothed with white hairs, the flowers are borne in short racemes. This is variety ovalis.
