presented by Susan McDougall

Sparganium eurycarpum

The leaves of this species rise above the water, distinguishing it from the other two bur-reeds at the Park. It is infrequently encountered. Here it grows in a shallow, perennial pond along the north side of the Silver Falls loop trail.
