Spiraea densiflora

A common shrub with large clusters of dark pink flowers, it grows from middle to subalpine elevations, often in open habitat. This is variety splendens.

A member of the Rose Family, there are five sepals and five petals in each small flower. The leaves are toothed and undivided.
