Viola sempervirens

The least frequently seen of the several yellow violet species, Evergreen Violet grows at lower elevations on the south and west side of the Park.

Viola sempervirens

The evergreen leaves are heart-shaped, pointed, and somewhat thick; they have purplish spots beneath. The stems are leafy, although reduced in size, and the yellow flowers have dark veins.
