Acer glabrum

Uncommon at the Park, Douglas's maple is sometimes a tree but also takes a shrublike form. It grows in open areas, including roadsides and slides. This is variety douglasii.

Acer glabrum

The leaves have 3-5 lobes and are 1-2 inches broad. Autumn color varies from gold to reddish. The flowers are greenish-yellow.
