Aruncus dioicus

Common on damp sites at low to middle elevations, this is a perennial that resembles a shrub. Female and male flowers are borne on separate plants; the photo is of the female flowers. This is variety acuminatus.

A Rose Family member that may reach 6 feet or more in height, Goat's Beard has pinnately divided leaves that are up to four inches in length. The photo is of male flowers.
