Chickweed Monkeyflower is fairly common on wet sites with thin soils to an elevation of approximately 4,500 feet. Here the papery capsule contains many small seeds.

Very short on harsh sites but up to 10 inches in more favorable locations, this annual Monkeyflower bears toothy, oval leaves and many bright yellow 2-lipped flowers.
