Mt. Rainier Flora --
Hieracium scouleri -- (Scouler's Hawkweed)
A subalpine species, and found on the east side of the Park, the plants are small and the stems are leafy. The leaves are somewhat glaucous.

The heads can be nearly an inch across, larger than other yellow-flowered Hawkweeds.

The numerous bright yellow heads composed of ray flowers only. The leaves are not toothed and the stems have short hairs.
