Lycopodium annotinum

A rare clubmoss at the Park, Stiff Clubmoss grows here in dense forest, not far from Box Canyon. The horizontal stems may reach 6 feet in length; the erect, branched stems grow upwards from these stems.

Lycopodium annotinum

Usually separated by the cones, in this case the identity is revealed by the tips of the narrow leaves, which lack hair-like bristles.
