Malus fusca

Very uncommon at the Park, this small apple grows in wet lowland habitat. Trees may reach 30 feet, and the branches are sometimes thorny. The leaves are toothed and sometimes lobed.

Malus fusca

The fruit is reddish, and the small flowers are borne in umbels. This species is most common in the Ohanapecosh area at the southeast corner of the Park.
