The petals are only about a half-inch in length. There are more than one flower per stem, a distinguishing feature from the common Oxalis oregana.

Unlike Oxalis oregana, this species does not form large colonies. It is most easily seen at Longmire where it grows alongside the trail in somewhat dry habitat.
