The green stems and flowers of Slender Bog Orchid often blend with the surrounding vegetation, yet it is one of the most abundant orchids at the Park. Sometimes seen in ditches near the road, it is a species of meadows, springs, streams, and other wet habitats.
The inflorescence is a spike, and the greenish flowers have a short spur and the upper sepals and two petals form a hood, a common feature of the Platanthera species.
