The oval sori occupy most of the underside of the leaflet; they are located midway between the rib and margin.

The upper surface is smooth, and the leaf stalk is nearly as long as the frond.

Locally common from low to middle elevations at the Park, this polypody grows in rocky crevices. It is a small fern with fronds to about eight inches in length.
