An uncommon shrubby to tree-sized willow at the Park, Scouler's has untoothed leaves that are green above and grayish below. It is a lower elevation species, found near streams and rivers, as in this photo taken near Laughingwater Creek on the Silver Falls trail.
The leaves vary from elliptic to widest near the tip, and the twigs are hairy. Here a branch from a tree-sized plant overhangs Nickel Creek on the south side of the Park.
