An uncommon saxifrage, this small plant grows on moist rocky habitat, such as cliff faces. The flowers are sometimes replaced by small plantlets, as shown in the photo.

The leaves are rounded, somewhat hairy, and divided into lobes which are toothed. This saxifrage grows from lower sites (as here at Silver Falls) to elevations of 6,000 feet.
