Abundant at a few places on the north and east sides of the Park, here the plants grow in open habitat on well-drained soil. A carrot family member, tauschia has basal leaves on long stalks, divided into segments.

The yellow flowers are configured in an umbel, on a six-inch stem. They are tightly clustered and composed of 5 sepals and 5 petals.
