Torreyochloa pallida

Most often seen in the Nisqually and Carbon River valleys, the panicle of this grass is loose and spreading, and the spikelets are purplish-green.

Seen growing here in a nearly submerged muddy soil, the plants are broad, with wide leaf blades, and tall stems.
