Known only at Longmire Meadow where it grows on sphagnum on seasonally wet ground, here in association with Sundew, this is a low, evergreen Vaccinium.

Rarely flowering, in 2016 the beautiful pink blossoms were finally seen, after many years of observation.

Several flowers are borne at the ends or along the stems. The four petals curve back as the blossom opens.
